Admission Economics: 2020/2021 – How Rupee depreciation will impact your Studies

Background: Within the last 12 months Euro has surged from the low of 76.47 and peaked a few days ago to 86.59.
Problem: The depreciation of more than 10 rupees in a years’ time, meaning that if we take the account of both low and high extremes, a student who is spending 20k(his fees and initial living expenses) on his masters in 2020 will have to pay 2,00,000 rupees more than the student who spent the same in 2019.

Concerning factors: Low GDP growth, COVID, trade deficit, Relief packages by Government (good for welfare). These have led to this massive depreciation. Given the way the economy is going it is expected the rupee may depreciate further

Will it go further? – Economist predicts there is still enough room to for Euro to grow this year

Solution: I think the best way to currency hedging on every major dip. This way you can save a few thousand rupees if not more. If you don’t know what currency hedging is then pls take help from any of your friend studying finance, he will help you. Pls, take caution while doing currency hedging as it is not for naïve investors.

All the best!!
